Tanzanian Peaberry

These beans are grown on mountainside farms on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in Tanzania, a country in East Africa, at an average elevation of 5,250 feet above sea level.  Unlike a typical coffee bean which has two flat-sided beans inside the fruit, a peaberry is a single round bean that packs an intense flavor profile of floral and fruity notes.  These beans are rare with approximately 10% of a coffee crop yielding peaberries.  The Tanzanian Peaberry is considered by many to be medium-bodied and, as a result, we roast these beans at a medium roast to capture the full flavor.
